There are times when all you really want is something that is already available. Maybe you want a blog, or perhaps a forum or wiki, and all you need is for someone to set it up, perhaps make a few minor tweaks. You don't want to pay the money it would cost for someone to design a system, because there are already multiple systems available that meet your requirements.

Rhino Plus Facile wants to give you what you want. We will consult with you on your needs, and even if you might not know it at the time, we will research various out-of-the-box programs which may meet those needs, help you decide which to choose, and then implement them. It's obviously easier to do this than to create something new, and these savings will be reflected in the cost to you.

Sometimes, however, you need something which is a hybrid of various things, or perhaps something which is entirely new. You might want a system which offers flexibility that an out-of-the-box solution wouldn't. You might also want something without features that you don't need, a leaner solution which would be correspondingly faster and easier to use.

This is Rhino Plus Facile's bailiwick; we specialize in hybrid and unique content management solutions. We will first consult with you on your needs to determine whether there might be a solution already available, but if there isn't, we will sit down and figure out, with your input, what information you need to store, how it will change and grow, and how it will be presented. Using that consultation, The Rhino will combine various technologies to bring you a system that does what you want, no more, no less, and is useable by even computer neophytes.

We design databases to meet your specifications and at the same time fulfill all the requirements of speed and storage. We will store what information is needed in the simplest way, without duplication, so that the fewest changes are needed to update that information. We use various Open Source and free technologies to make editing that information easier and to allow you to create content in web-safe and standards-compliant ways, without having to know what either of those words mean (because they change so often, we're sometimes not completely sure what they mean ourselves, so we don't blame you).

Rhino Plus Facile does not specialize in design, either graphic or web, but we have enough of an understanding of the presentation layer (the display of the information to your viewers) to be able to consult with designers to try to bring your vision to the web. We can offer some services in this regard, but we strongly suggest that, should you require complicated presentation or graphic design, that you consult with a specialist in those areas in conjunction with us, at the very least.

We will work with other designers to integrate the content management into the overall design of the website. In this age of increasing specialization, the Rhino has made a decision to specialize in content management and information architecture and leave other areas to other specialists, but we can speak their language even if they might be much more fluent than we are. Rhino Plus Facile offers this confession openly, because more than anything, we want you to get what you want, and if we can't give it to you, we're not too proud to say so. It saves everyone effort in the long run.

We will discuss any presentation layer services you might need, and if necessary direct you to a specialist who would be better able to assist you. This is all part of the initial consultation.

If you decide that you don't wish to handle the maintenance of the information on your site, Rhino Plus Facile will discuss a plan whereby we maintain your website for you. Obviously, the more complex your needs, the more time we will have to spend, and thus, the more difficult such maintenance becomes. Because of this, there may be a limit to what we can offer in this regard, but we will certainly discuss it with you. This is obviously the most custimizable service the Rhino provides, and thus this description must be the most generic.
